Frequently asked questions about the Kuromi soft toy with a purple bow

What makes the Purple Bow Edition special?

The purple bow is Kuromi’s most classic and recognisable feature — it is at the heart of her iconic ‘dark-meets-cute’ look and makes this edition the most sought-after Kuromi variant amongst collectors.

What is the difference between the Pink Bow and the Purple Bow editions?

The Pink Bow edition gives Kuromi a softer, more kawaii-friendly makeover, whilst the Purple Bow embodies the classic, original Kuromi aesthetic — the Purple variant is considered by fans to be the ‘more authentic’ of the two.

Is Kuromi a cat or a rabbit?

Kuromi is officially a white rabbit from Sanrio’s My Melody universe — her feline features are part of her punk design, but she is not a kitten.

What occasions is this soft toy suitable for?

According to the product description, it’s suitable for birthdays, as a cosplay room decoration, for gaming tables and as a kawaii room centrepiece — a versatile collector’s item for any occasion.

What age is this soft toy suitable for?

Ages 3 and over, under direct adult supervision.

How big is the Kuromi soft toy with a purple bow, and can it sit upright on its own?

The Kuromi soft toy with a purple bow is the ideal size for collectors, measuring approximately 20 to 25 cm. Thanks to its high-quality, even filling of flexible PP cotton, the soft toy is perfectly balanced. It can therefore sit completely upright on flat surfaces such as shelves or a desk without toppling over.

Is the purple bow removable or permanently attached to the Kuromi soft toy?

The distinctive purple bow is completely tear-resistant and permanently sewn onto the soft toy. This ensures that this signature accessory will neither be lost nor slip out of place, whether during play or when being carried. The distinctive skull on her hood is also firmly incorporated, which underlines the high quality of this collector’s item.

Is this Kuromi soft toy suitable as a safe gift for younger children?

Yes, absolutely. This Kuromi edition is manufactured entirely without any hard plastic parts, sharp edges or internal wires. The large eyes, eyelashes and all the details on the cap are precisely and softly embroidered. This makes it an absolutely safe and extremely charming toy gift for fans of all ages.

What is the best way to wash the purple Kuromi soft toy without the colours fading?

To preserve the striking contrasts between the white face, the deep black and the elegant purple bow, we recommend gentle hand washing with lukewarm water and a mild detergent for delicates. Surface dirt can simply be dabbed away with a damp cloth. Once air-dried, gently knead the soft toy into shape to ensure it remains fluffy for years to come.
