Frequently asked questions about the Wiztex Hedgehog 6-piece plush set

Can the Wiztex Hedgehog 6-piece plush set be washed in the washing machine?

Yes, all the figures from the Wiztex Hedgehog 6-Piece Plush Set can be washed in the washing machine without any problems. To do this, always place the plush figures in fine-mesh laundry bags or pillowcases to protect the embroidered facial features and delicate details from rubbing against the drum. Wash the soft toys on a delicate or woollens cycle at a maximum of 30 °C using a mild liquid detergent. Do not use fabric softener, as this can cause the synthetic micro-plush fibres to clump together and make the fur look matt.

From what age is the Wiztex Hedgehog 6-piece plush set suitable for children?

The Wiztex Hedgehog 6-piece Plush Set has an official age recommendation of 36 months (3 years) and over. As all details such as the eyes, mouth and shoe patterns are high-quality embroidery and no swallowable plastic eyes or hard accessories have been used, there is no risk of choking on small parts, even during vigorous play.

What is the best way to dry the figures from the Wiztex Hedgehog 6-Piece Plush Set without them losing their shape?

After washing, the soft toys should always be dried flat on a clothes horse in the fresh air. You must avoid using a tumble dryer or a hot hairdryer. The high temperatures can melt the fine polyester microfibres of the fur or cause the synthetic wadding filling to harden. If you carefully reshape the spines, ears and limbs with your fingers whilst they are still damp, all six figures will retain their perfectly upright silhouette once dry.

What are the advantages of buying the 6-piece set rather than purchasing the figures individually?

The Wiztex Hedgehog 6-Piece Plush Set offers unbeatable value for money compared to buying individual figures. What’s more, collectors and children immediately receive a complete character collection for the bedroom, the gaming shelf or for re-enacting complex stories, without having to wait for individual favourite figures.

Is the Wiztex Hedgehog 6-Piece Plush Set suitable for people with allergies?

Yes, the entire plush set is extremely hygienic and allergy-friendly. The outer material, made from 100% dense, short-pile polyester, and the polypropylene (PP cotton) filling do not provide a breeding ground for dust mites or pollen. Furthermore, the smooth, short-pile plush attracts significantly less dust than long-pile faux fur and can be cleaned regularly or wiped down with a damp cloth without any problems.

How can you remove dust mites from the soft toys without washing them at 60 °C?

As high washing temperatures above 40 °C can damage the plush fibres, the cold method is recommended: place the dry toys from the Wiztex Hedgehog 6-Piece Plush Set in airtight freezer bags and put them in the freezer for 24 to 48 hours at a temperature of at least -18 °C. The cold reliably kills mites. Afterwards, allow the soft toys to warm up to room temperature and gently brush off any dead particles with a soft clothes brush.

Are all 6 soft toys in the set the same size and of the same build quality?

Yes, all 6 soft toys in the set are uniformly designed to a height of approx. 28 cm and are subject to the same strict manufacturing and quality standards from Wiztex. They match perfectly in terms of appearance and proportions.

How can you tell if a soft toy set has been tested for harmful substances and is safe?

A safe soft toy set bears the CE mark and complies with the requirements of the EU toy standard EN 71. This guarantees that the products can withstand mechanical tensile tests on the seams, are made from flame-retardant materials and do not release any harmful chemicals. Ensure that the products are in mint condition and do not have a pungent chemical smell.
